Travel Tips

South Africa's summer months are between November and March and winter falls between May - July. The summer months are very hot especially in the interior - visitors who are not used to the heat may prefer to travel in spring or autumn.

Many of South Africa's beach resorts are particularly busy in December when local schools are on holiday. If you prefer to stay away from the maddening crowds, opt for a trip in November or February instead.
